LG BD690, Never Go Into The Movies Again!
The only reason we’ve been going to the movies at all lately will be 3-D. We do not enjoy the value, or the loud people with their cellphones bothering us. When my husband’s back injury have so bad that we are really not able to go to the movies at just about all, it became time to upgrade. We bought this player and a 60 inch LG 3D TV and glasses and we started using it all set up, it was very easy to set up, and headed down to acquire a couple of 3D movies.
The LG BD690 ended up being amazing, the player was easy to set up and work with and the Blu-Ray shows were just gorgeous themselves. I was at awe, having just seen a video on my old DVD player most likely 2 weeks ago, and then watching the blu-ray copy I got myself, seeing the depth and clarity from this player.
We have not used it for your Netflix other than to work it, but it was also very convenient.
Keep in mind that I have only had this player for a few days, but I have very substantial hopes!
I can not be any happier on this unit! Love Love Love Love it again! Plug and play! Could not be much easier to install! Still haven’t had a chance to review the full user manual provided relating to CD but so far – it’s an engineering marvel!!
OK… so I purchased the LG BD690 Disc Player because I wouldn’t have a 3D television or plan for getting one anytime soon. However, I purchased it in a great price from Amazon. com ($199). Returned it because the device wasn’t upgradeable without problems… look at the reviews for the actual LG BD590 and you’ll see that there are a bug everytime anyone tries to upgrade the program when it prompts you to take some action. Also, the Netflix on the BD590 is straightforward… a few genre’s listed and categories and also pick from them or your stashed que… you can’t search for pictures by title. With the BD690, it is actually different—you CAN search by typing in words like your story would on a Wii or Console enabled Netflix. Also, I haven’t done it yet it also says on the BD690 you can meet up a Iphone or Ipad and make use of keyboard to enter data. Also, the debtor service rep I spoke to at LG informed me the app for MLB. COM wasn’t implementing the BD590—I tried it and subscribed in the BD690 and the picture is hence incredible… this blueray player must upscale something considering that baseball game looked incredible and lifelike. Now, welcome the LG BD690—another reviewer commented that there’s no Amazon VOD on it… that well spoken… but, when you do the upgrade it prompts one to do, you have it and a few more things including a Google portway to get on line and use your TV as a full internet ready setup… WOW. This unit cost me $50 over the LG BD690 but was well worth every penny… including the ability to do Hulu Plus along with stuff—games, puzzles and more… I LIKE this player… and even though it had become $50 more, it also came using a FREE $5. 99 credit for Vudu to observe a movie on them…. great in front of them… Get this player and you Will never be disappointed!!! LOVE IT.
