LSU Tigers, On the Prowl
It is rare that a team like LSU goes from worst to next best, but that is exactly what happened this season. This is another example of how dominate the SEC has become. It was just a few years ago that the SEC was not even on the BCS radar, now it looks as though another team from the SEC will take home the National Championship. There are numerous reasons why this was a stellar year for the LSU Tigers.
LSU has been one of the teams that have led the charge on the field. It is due to the efforts that the Tigers have placed in their 2010 season that has allowed the team the chance to see a wonderful amount of improvement in the last few seasons. All of this effort has allowed them the chance to play in the Cotton Bowl against the Texas A&M Aggies. This will be the chance for LSU to make their case as to why they deserve a look at being #1 next season. If the Tigers are successful, then the team will enjoy glory to no end. If they fail then there will be a doubt cast upon the team.
The thing that will drive the team to success, will be the rushing, the team has one of the top rushing games in the country. This is what has led to many of the games that the Tigers should have lost being a top of the line effort that got them a win for their efforts. But as any great fan will tell you the key to victory, is that of a great running game as well as an excellent passing game as well. These are the two things that will lead to there being success in the long term for the team.
But as any good football fan will tell you, there is more to a great team effort than just passing the ball. This is where the Tigers really showed their true potential. The running of the ball was one of the top aspects that allowed the team to have a much more successful season than what many experts thought that they would. This expert running game is what will more than likely be what will lead the teams BCS title drive in 2011. In addition to this the passing game will be the final element that is put into place. All in all, this is shaping up to be a banner year that will lead to bigger things for the team next season.
Even if you have never watched a game of the Tigers, this year is going to be a good place for you to begin in your watching, this will lead to there being a grand impression formed about LSU. Who knows you might even become a fan of the team and as a result look to become a die hard like the rest of Louisiana.
